Embryo Transfer

On September 24, 2012 Adam and I traveled back up to Indianapolis for our embryo transfer.  The transfer took place at 7:30 am on September 25th.  We arrived at the doctor's office and waited to be called back (BTW I had to have a full bladder for the procedure, very uncomfortable!).  I was given some medication to help relax me for the procedure, because I was going to be awake the entire time.  We talked to the procedure room and Dr. B was already there.  He began by using a practice catheter to make sure he was able to place the embryos in the right place.  He turned to the embryologist and said, "Bring me the embryos please".  He used another catheter and in less than 5 minutes the procedure was over.  I was asked to walk back to my room and lay down for 10 minutes.  After 10 minutes I could use the restroom (FINALLY!) and then I had to lay down for another 20 minutes.  When time was up I got changed and we started our trip back home :)  For the next two days (48 hours) I was a total couch potato!  Doctor's orders, I swear!  It was so hard to stay down, because I felt great!  I have to admit it was nice to be able to rest up and not worry about anything.

This is a scan of the pictures of our embryos under the microscope :)
An ultrasound of our embryos after they were transfered! So exciting!!

Free magazines in the waiting room of the office where we had the procedure done.
I said "Yes please!"
